Post Post subject: Kit Woolsey's articles Reply with quote

I am very excited to see Kit Woolsey contributing articles to this web site. Most people know Kit as one of the top players in the game, and he is that, as well as a world-class bridge player. But Kit's ability to teach the game through books, articles, and private lessons is a terrific contribution to the game.

When I first got serious about tournament backgammon, I asked several of the top players in the game who they felt the best teacher was, and Kit Woolsey's name came up repeatedly. I contacted Kit and paid for lessons on line, and some 20 years later I can still say that his lessons were among the best I have received. I still use Woolsey's Law regarding doubling, and many other of his insights every time I play.

Congrats to Gammon Empire and Backgammon.org for bringing on such a great teacher.
