Post Post subject: Redouble or not? Reply with quote

Hi there
Hereafter a position in a match of our weekly tournament in Paris.
Match to 7pt. Score: 2-2. Green owns a 2 cube.
Green to move. Does he redouble or not? Does white take or not?

Over the board, the players said it was a drop. The people around (I among them) said it was a take. Hard to take but a take.
After analyse, GnuBG 4-ply said it was "not redouble/take" but I do not agree, so a launched a rollout (1296) and then he says "redouble/take"

Indeed, it is a not a clear redouble but doubling helped the opponnent to drop and give 2 points Wink He told us that he was really afraid of gammons.
