Post subject: Advise on book |

Hi there
I am finally finding some time to try to improve my low play level (I plan even to play for real once a week) and I am buying some BG books.
I already have the Magriel's "bible" and 2 from Robertie (Backgammon for Serious Players and 501 Essential Backgammon Problems)
Though, I would like to improve specially on the management of the doubling cube because I lose way too many matches because of my lack of cube knowledge.
Is there any good book out there specialized on the doubling cube? Or at least with some chapters about the doubling cube?
Thanks a lot in advance for any advise. _________________ If the brain were simple enough to be understood, we would be too stupid to understand it. |

Kit Woolsey wrote a book in 1982 called Matchpoints that is excellent and deals with the doubling cube.
I have recently written an article which was published that summarizes the use of the cube and cube strategy very well. If you would like a copy, or would like a lesson on line about the doubling cube, you can email me at psimborg@sbcglobal.net.
