Post subject: Detroit Cube Problem 2 |

Here is an interesting position from a match with all-time Great player Joe Sylvester, and a very fine American player, Herb Roman. It is a match to 5 and black holds a two cube and is on roll. Should black redouble here? If black redoubles, should white take?
Herb was playing black and he redoubled. Sly (Joe Slyvester) took the cube, and several people watching thought he had made a blunder, but as you can see below, both players made the correct decision.
