The position below is a rare one. It's a money game, and white is holding a 4 cube and is on roll. Should white double? If white doubles, should black take?








As you can see below, it is a double and a take. I was black, and I was doubled in real life in this game. I decided it was a take, and I was right. But I got gammoned on 8, costing me 16 points! It was quite an expensive decision, even though it was the right one. But that's what makes backgammon so much fun!
